A Different kind of Road trip

It is interesting how our perspective can change depending on the direction we are traveling and the circumstances surrounding it.  When I drive to school and work in the mornings, the uphill journey with turns to the right and left may require more effort and attention from myself as a driver. However, when I drive back from school the same curves now appear in the opposite direction and with a downhill slope, giving me a different experience.

I, of course, take advantage of the downhill slope and use momentum to save on gas. I see it as a smart approach. My little efficient way to utilize natural forces to allow momentum to carry  me forward and of course doing my bit for the environment.

These subtle differences in perspective and experiences during my daily commute can make me more aware of my surroundings and the changes that occur throughout the day. It is fascinating how the same route can feel so different based on the direction and circumstances of travel.

It is interesting that life is viewed as a journey with a final destination, much like our daily routines. Many people do approach life in a similar way, focusing on their goals and aspirations without pausing to consider the broader perspective. We often get caught up in the routine and busyness of daily life, which can make it challenging to appreciate the beauty and diversity around us.

However, it is important to remember that life is not all about reaching a final destination or achieving specific goals. It is also about the experiences, growth and connections we make along the way. By taking the time to reflect and appreciate our journey, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

It can be beneficial to step back and observe our surroundings and thoughts with a new fresh perspective. This  allows us to notice the smaller details we might miss along the way and consider a different path or possibility. It is in these moments of reflection that we  find inspiration for new ideas and greater appreciation for the richness that life offer.

To obtain progress and productivity, planning is important. It is valuable to incorporate moments of mindfulness and reflection into our lives. It will help to break free from autopilot mode most of us find ourselves in. We can find ourselves again in between the routines, stresses and worries everyday life throws at us. We can walk a more meaningful journey. Taking the time to the newness that each day offers us. A new perspective.

It is good to take the time to reflect and appreciate the journey we are on. We might not like it. It might be full of surprises we have not planned for. But there is in some odd kind of way still beauty and meaning in these unexpected places.

It’s understandable that for many people, letting go of control can be challenging. It provides a sense of safety and assurance when we feel like we are in command of our lives and have the ability to determine our own course.

When you mention considering how God sees our journey and acknowledging His plan, it reflects a perspective of surrendering control to a higher power. Many religious and spiritual traditions emphasize the concept of trust and surrendering to a divine plan or higher purpose. By recognizing that there may be forces beyond our comprehension guiding our path, can alleviate the burden of trying to control every aspect of our lives.

Surrendering control doesn’t necessarily mean becoming passive or neglecting personal responsibility. It’s more about embracing a mindset of trust and openness to the possibilities that may unfold. It’s acknowledging that while we have the capacity to make choices and take action, there are factors beyond our control that shape our journey.

By shifting our perspective to one of trust and surrender, we can find solace and peace in knowing that there is a greater plan at work. This can alleviate stress, anxiety, and the constant need to have everything figured out. It allows us to be more present and receptive to the opportunities and lessons that come our way.

Of course, everyone’s beliefs and relationship with a higher power are personal and unique. Some may find comfort in surrendering control to God, while others may have different spiritual or philosophical frameworks that guide their understanding of life’s journey. Ultimately, it’s about finding a perspective that brings you peace and allows you to navigate life’s ups and downs with a sense of trust and purpose.

I find myself in motion of questioning a lot about myself and the route that I may have set due to my control freakishness.

I have worked my way into a place where I am so comfortable in doing the driving part of my life, that in the letting go part, I am stretched a lot and I can feel it deep inside how my soul and body and spirit and ego man is playing tug of war with my emotions.

I know the steps I need to take to gear down and go into neutral so that I can look at the road ahead with fresh eyes and that new perspective I wrote about earlier.

Indeed, breaking free from established patterns and exploring new perspectives can be challenging. However, you carry the potential to create new patterns or approaches to life.

When we open ourselves up to different angles and viewpoints, we can discover fresh possibilities and uncover roads we might not have considered before. It involves a shift in mindset and a willingness to step outside our comfort zones, challenging our preconceived notions and exploring alternative paths.

To embark on this journey of taking a road that may seem untraveled before or looking at familiar roads from different angles. Be open to change. It may be the hardest thing you have ever done. It may mean you have to start from scratch but being willing to let go of rigid beliefs or assumptions of the road ahead you can embrace the potential for growth and transformation.

Remember, each day offers an opportunity to approach familiar roads with fresh eyes.
