Life’s A Journey

Sometimes I amaze myself and other days I look for my cellphone while holding it to my ear having a conversation with my bestie. Have you ever experienced days that you just think Wow! I’m that good! Giving yourself a mental pat on the back and then there are the days that you wonder what the heck did I get myself into…

Well I have several of both days and somedays I feel like I’m just not cutting it as a mother, a career girl and a daughter or even a sister and friend.

I’ve started this blog to highlight both. The whooha days, and the days I wish I had someone to stand behind me with pink glitter pompoms and cheering me on from the sideline.

I hope you will find the same for yourself in my blog, me in a pink tutu with curly hair and huge pompoms rooting for you on the bad days and to give you a “That-a-Girl” punch on the shoulder on the good days.

I will share my lessons in life. My favorite recipes that makes me feel like a Rockstar in the kitchen and those funny moments because all said and done laughter is the best medicine.

I invite you to walk with me in the discovery of who I am and how I do me and I’m sure it will spill over into you finding yourself in the same journey. Being a wife, mother, daughter and friend with all life’s roller coasters is hard, so how do you balance it all and not loose who you are between the chaos.

I’m a 40 something widow, single mom to my precious, Mackenzie, artist and blogger. I live in Amanzimtoti, in the KwaZulu Natal province and wake up to the sound of the ocean every morning.

I love to discover new recipes and try out things that make my friends look at me in amazement.

I can quickly move from the couch and pj’s all day. To getting organised and trying out new things in a second.

I’m quirky and fun, and can be just as stern and strict in the same breath.
